Maison Exquisite Lab Diamonds: A Vision of the Lab-Grown Diamond

The French Maison Exquisite Lab Diamonds dedicates its expertise exclusively to lab-grown diamonds. This specialization allows us to offer an exceptionally broad selection of colorless and Fancy Color diamonds, together with guidance centered on selecting the stone before creating any personalized piece of jewelry.

These are the pillars that define the commitment and distinctive approach of our Maison.

Expertise Dedicated to Lab-Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are at the heart of Maison Exquisite Lab Diamonds, which has chosen to make their remarkable physical properties accessible to private clients. Here is why.

The Same Hardness and Properties as Natural Diamonds

A lab-grown diamond is not an imitation such as cubic zirconia or moissanite. It is pure carbon crystallized in the cubic crystal system. Diamond is the hardest naturally occurring material, ranking 10 on the Mohs scale. Its refractive index (2.417) and light dispersion (0.044) are identical to those of a natural diamond, producing the same brilliance and fire.

Exceptional Crystal Purity (Type IIa)

In nature, most diamonds contain impurities, particularly nitrogen. Diamonds with extremely high chemical purity and no measurable nitrogen are classified as Type IIa. They account for less than 2% of mined diamonds.

In a laboratory, growth methods such as CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) and HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) can produce Type IIa diamonds under controlled conditions. Visually, this can result in remarkable transparency and optical clarity, sometimes described in gemology as a particularly pure “water”.

A New Realm for Antique and Innovative Cuts

Because natural rough diamonds are rare and highly valuable, cutters of mined diamonds generally seek to maximize yield from the rough. This has contributed to the widespread use of standardized modern brilliant cuts designed to retain as much weight as possible. With lab-grown diamonds, the constraints associated with the loss of rough material are different.

This creates new opportunities for antique, technically demanding cuts that require more rough material, such as Old Mine and Old European cuts. Their broad, generous facets produce a distinctive play of light. You can discover them directly through the search filters on our website.

It also creates opportunities for innovation. New shapes are emerging, from contemporary architectural forms such as elongated hexagons to figurative cuts sculpted entirely from diamond, including butterflies, stars, letters and even horse heads.

Certification: A Common Language Supported by Human Expertise

All diamonds offered by Maison Exquisite Lab Diamonds are accompanied by a certificate issued by an internationally recognized gemological laboratory, including IGI or GIA. This document records the characteristics of the stone according to the 4Cs: Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut.

Two diamonds with identical 4C characteristics can nevertheless present noticeably different appearances. Beyond the certificate, a gemologist also considers the diamond as a whole. This observation makes it possible to assess the balance of its proportions, the precision of its cut, the quality of its polish, its behavior in light and its overall visual appearance, sometimes revealing a particularly pure “water”.

Each search begins with criteria defined together with the client. The expertise of Maison Exquisite Lab Diamonds lies in identifying the lab-grown diamond that most closely meets those expectations, combining the objective information provided by the certificate with expertise in gemology and diamond evaluation.

Fancy Color Lab-Grown Diamonds

Although diamonds are most commonly associated with colorless stones, they also exist in a remarkable variety of colors. Yellow, pink, blue, green and orange diamonds are described on gemological certificates using the term “Fancy Color”.

In nature, a blue diamond containing boron or an intensely saturated pink diamond is an exceptionally rare geological occurrence. Such stones can command prices of millions of euros, making them extremely difficult to find and inaccessible to most buyers. Laboratory growth makes it possible to control the presence of certain trace elements, such as boron in blue diamonds.

The result can be Fancy Color lab-grown diamonds displaying remarkable intensity and saturation, opening new creative possibilities for fine jewelry.

A Different Hierarchy of Value

Unlike colorless lab-grown diamonds, where clarity and cut quality play central roles in evaluation, the hierarchy changes significantly for Fancy Color lab-grown diamonds. Whether natural or lab-grown, color becomes the defining characteristic: its hue, saturation and evenness can take precedence over minor inclusions or conventional cutting standards.

For Fancy Color diamonds, other gemological characteristics therefore become secondary to the visual expression of the color.

As with colorless diamonds, every Fancy Color lab-grown diamond offered by the Maison is accompanied by a certificate issued by an internationally recognized gemological laboratory, such as IGI or GIA.

Every Fancy Color lab-grown diamond is unique. Selecting a stone begins above all with personal preference; its gemological characteristics then help identify the diamond that most closely corresponds to that vision.

Fancy Color lab-grown diamonds therefore offer a new creative freedom, allowing color itself to become the starting point of a creation.

From Lab-Grown Diamond to Jewelry Creation

Maison Exquisite Lab Diamonds also assists clients who wish to take their search for a lab-grown diamond further by creating a personalized piece of jewelry.

To accommodate different projects, the Maison offers two approaches: customizable jewelry and bespoke creation.

Customizable Jewelry

Customizable jewelry begins with a selection of existing settings. Each design is created to accommodate different lab-grown diamond shapes and allows the client to select the carat weight, color and quality of the stone, as well as the precious metal.

This freedom of configuration makes it possible to adapt each creation to the aesthetic preferences and budget of the project.

Bespoke Creation

Bespoke creation begins with a blank canvas. It is a close collaboration in which technical precision brings to life a unique piece that did not previously exist.

The Maison guides each client in defining the project precisely before it is entrusted to the workshop. A computer-aided design (CAD) is then produced, allowing the client to visualize the creation, refine its proportions and approve every detail before production begins.

Each bespoke creation is developed exclusively to order, respecting the proportions of the selected lab-grown diamond and the intentions that guided its design. It is handcrafted in France.

The Meaning of Uniqueness

Choosing Exquisite Lab Diamonds means choosing a specialized Maison where the exacting standards of traditional craftsmanship meet one of the most remarkable innovations of our time: the lab-grown diamond.

In jewelry, luxury reveals itself through unique creation. Each piece is born from an encounter: an exceptional lab-grown diamond, artisanal savoir-faire and the singular vision of an individual.

The Luxury of Uniqueness.
